About Sophfronia Tucker Harrell

Sophfronia is the daughter of the late Emmie R. Tucker and Rubin Tucker. Raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina in the small town of Ridgeville, with her two older brothers. She fell in love with God at an early age. After accepting Christ during her teen years, she would often help teach Sunday School and gave her first message to the congregation of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Ridgeville, SC at the age of 21. But it was during her years in graduate school that Sophfronia rededicated her life to Christ and went on to start hosting small group bible studies. Once she graduated and went into the workforce, her passion for God did not wean. Her desire to connect with God and other like minded women became even stronger. So in the late 90's she started a small women's fellowship at her home in Frederick, MD, that eventually developed into a monthly fellowship, where the ladies met from house to house for a time of fellowship, prayer, study of the word, and good food.

In 2003, the monthly fellowships officially became Women of Purpose Fellowship Ministries
Ordained as a Minister in 2012 under the covering of Pastor Marian D. McCoy of Columbus, Ohio
Host's a weekly prayer call three days a week
Sophfronia currently assist's at New Gloryland Baptist Church in Columbia, SC
She continues to encourages women to build intimacy with Christ through prayer and local fellowships

Educated in the public schools of Dorchester County, South Carolina
Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Benedict College
Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from North Carolina State University
Master of Business Administration from Kaplan University
Doctorate of Business Administration from Walden University

INTERESTING FACTS

In December of 2017, she married Charles B. Harrell, a loving man of God.
Worked as a Software Engineer for over 22 years developing and testing Air Traffic systems
